ArtCraft is an open-source studio for controllable AI image and video creation. It is an intentional crafting engine for artists, designers, and filmmakers, built around visual control, ownership, and expression rather than text prompting alone. ArtCraft can be used on the web or downloaded for desktop, with no subscription required and no aggregator middleman between the user and the models.
Key Features
- Image to Location: Place virtual actors into physical environments and plan multiple shots in a consistent room.
- 2D and 3D compositing: Layer images, backdrops, foreground elements, props, background removal, and drawing tools to compose scenes with depth and precise layering.
- Image to 3D Mesh: Turn images into 3D objects that can be positioned, rotated, and framed for scene blocking.
- Character posing and identity transfer: Pose characters and set camera blocking before generating the final shot, and use a posed mannequin to guide character placement and pose.
- Mixed asset crafting: Combine image cutouts, worlds, and 3D meshes in one canvas.
- Prompt-based generation and editing: Use text to image, prompted image editing, canvas image editing, and image to video with selected models.
Use Cases
- Artists, designers, and filmmakers can compose and block shots before generating final images or video.
- Filmmakers can place virtual actors in physical environments and film multiple shots in one location without elements disappearing.
- 3D scene blocking with kitbashing and mixed assets helps control camera angles, object placement, and depth.
- Creators can start with a prompt for quick ideation, then refine using canvas and scene tools.
