Folkbench is a benchmark and ranking platform for AI API relay stations. It continuously publishes availability, response time, and pricing, and helps users check whether a relay is usable and whether responses are stable before choosing one. Public rankings compare different relay stations for the same model with published metrics and show detection times. The project also includes Folkbench Switch, an open-source desktop client for managing connection settings in Claude Code, Codex, and similar tools.
Key Features
- Public rankings compare relay stations for the same model on availability, response speed, and price on one page, with detection times shown for each result. Each test produces a report describing what was checked, when it was checked, and the outcome. Users can view published
Use Cases
- Use Folkbench to compare relay stations by availability, response speed, and price before selecting an AI API relay. Use it to review public test results and reports for a specific model across relay stations. Use Folkbench Switch when frequently switching Claude Code, Codex, or
Getting Started
- Visit the public rankings to compare relay stations for the current model and open the corresponding report when more detail is needed. To run your own test, choose a model and relay station from the directory, confirm you have the right to test it, start the test, and review
