Getting Started
- Run instantly with npx @google/gemini-cli without installation.
- Install globally with npm using npm install -g @google/gemini-cli, Homebrew using brew install gemini-cli, or MacPorts using sudo port install gemini-cli.
- Start in the current directory with gemini, include multiple directories with gemini --include-directories ../lib,../docs, choose a model with gemini -m gemini-2.5-flash, and run non-interactively with gemini -p.
- Authenticate by signing in with Google, using a Gemini API key, or using Vertex AI.
