Hallmark is an anti-AI-slop design skill for Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. It selects a macrostructure and theme for a brief, applies a rule set, and runs slop-test gates before returning UI; it also supports auditing, redesigning, and studying existing designs.
Key Features
- Default build mode picks a macrostructure first, dresses it in a theme, and refuses to repeat the last three macrostructures.
- Twenty-one themes and twenty-one macrostructures provide structural variety across briefs.
- Fifty-seven slop-test gates plus a pre-emit self-critique run before output is returned.
- Audit scores existing code against anti-patterns and returns a punch list without edits.
- Redesign keeps copy, information architecture, and brand while rebuilding with a different structural fingerprint.
- Study extracts design DNA from a screenshot or URL, refuses pixel clones, and can optionally emit a portable design.md for handoff.
Use Cases
- Building landing pages, product pages, and other web UI from a brief with an AI coding agent.
- Auditing existing UI code for common AI-generated design anti-patterns without making edits.
- Redesigning a page while preserving its copy, information architecture, and brand.
- Extracting structural design DNA from a screenshot or URL for handoff to another AI tool.
Getting Started
- Run npx skills add nutlope/hallmark, then ask your agent for a UI. Re-run the command to update, or copy SKILL.md and references into the tool-specific directory for Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
Deployment & Requirements
- Requires Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex as the agent environment. Installation uses the npx skills command, or manual copying of skill files into the agent's skills or rules directory.
Before You Adopt
- License: MIT. Review its terms before using, modifying, or distributing the project.
- Hallmark is built for specific AI coding environments, so adoption depends on using Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
- The documented install path uses the npx skills command.
