Octop Gateway

Overview

Octop Gateway is a multi-platform IM channel bridge that provides a unified message abstraction for AI agents and bots. It connects to mainstream IM platforms and normalizes every inbound message into one processing pipeline, so agent logic is written once and runs across Feishu, DingTalk, QQ, WeCom, WeChat iLink, Yuanbao, Xiaoyi, MQTT, Telegram, and Discord. The gateway handles transport, parsing, media, and delivery behind a common interface.

Getting Started

• Install the core library with pip install octop-gateway.
• For example and agent integration extras, use pip install "octop-gateway[examples]".
• Prerequisites are Python 3.12+ and credentials for the platforms you connect to.
• Copy .env.example to .env for environment-based configuration.
• Define an async processor yielding MessageEvent, create a ChannelManager, and add platform channels.

Before You Adopt

• License: MIT. Review its terms before using, modifying, or distributing the project.
• Discord integration requires enabling Message Content Intent in the developer portal.
• QQ QR login keeps a one-time decryption key in memory and leaves persistence of the returned channel config to the caller.
