Ruflo is an agent meta-harness for Claude Code and Codex. It adds a coordination layer around coding agents, providing specialized agents, swarm coordination, self-learning memory, federation, and vector RAG integration. The project is part of the Cognitum One / RuvNet ecosystem.
Key Features
- 100+ specialized agents for coding, testing, security, docs, and architecture.
- Swarm coordination with hierarchical, mesh, and adaptive topologies and consensus.
- Self-learning via SONA neural patterns, ReasoningBank, and trajectory learning.
- Vector memory with HNSW-indexed AgentDB and measured performance versus brute force.
- Federation for agents across machines and organizations to discover, authenticate, and exchange work securely.
- Plugin marketplace with native Claude Code plugins and npm packages.
Use Cases
- Build AI coding teams that plan, remember, test, and improve across sessions.
- Coordinate autonomous multi-step workflows and swarms for software development.
- Give agents persistent memory and RAG context over repositories and project knowledge.
- Run secure multi-machine agent collaboration through federation.
Getting Started
- In Claude Code, add the marketplace with /plugin marketplace add ruvnet/ruflo, then install ruflo-core@ruflo, ruflo-console@ruflo, and ruflo-mods@ruflo.
- For Codex or another MCP-enabled tool, run npx ruflo@latest init wizard in your project terminal.
- To configure a local stdio MCP server, use command npx and arguments -y, ruflo@latest, mcp start.
- Install globally with npm install -g ruflo@latest, or run npx ruflo@latest init for non-interactive setup.
Deployment & Requirements
- Claude Code plugin path requires Claude Code 2.1.287 or later.
- CLI path can run on macOS, Linux, WSL, Git-Bash, Windows PowerShell, and cmd.
- For local stdio MCP clients, configure command npx and arguments -y ruflo@latest mcp start.
