Manufact is an MCP cloud platform for deploying, testing, observing, and publishing MCP servers and MCP apps. It is built by the team behind the open-source mcp-use SDKs for TypeScript and Python and the open-source MCP Inspector. Deployments can originate from GitHub, the CLI, or Manufact's own MCP server, and the platform covers post-deploy work such as cross-client testing, MCP-native analytics, and publishing checks for the ChatGPT Apps Store and Claude Cloud Connectors.
Key Features
- Deploy MCP servers and apps from GitHub, a template, or the CLI, with branch previews and custom domains.
- Run cross-client tests across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, and other clients, with LLM-judged pass/fail results and CI gating.
- Use the Cloud Inspector to trace, replay, and debug MCP traffic in production, and the open-source MCP Inspector for tool testing, resource browsing, prompt testing, and JSON-RPC logging.
- Monitor MCP-native analytics including tool calls, sessions, error rates, and p50/p95/p99 latency by tool, resource, and prompt.
- Run publishing checks for the ChatGPT Apps Store and Claude Cloud Connectors, with fix guidance, E2E checks, and a generated submission pack.
- Connect existing remote MCP servers by URL through the Manufact proxy to use chat, test suites, publish checks, and the submission pack without moving hosting.
Use Cases
- Teams deploying MCP servers or apps that need hosted endpoints, preview environments, and custom domains.
- Developers validating MCP apps across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other clients before marketplace submission.
- Operators monitoring production MCP traffic, tool-call volume, latency, errors, and session timelines.
- Publishers preparing ChatGPT Apps Store or Claude Cloud Connectors listings with compliance checks and submission assets.
Getting Started
- Start with the mcp-use SDK by running npx -y create-mcp-use-app@latest, then run npm run dev in the generated project and open the local Inspector path.
- Deploy from GitHub by connecting the GitHub App, deploy from a template, or run npx mcp-use deploy from the CLI.
- Connect an existing remote MCP server by URL through the Manufact proxy to use testing and publishing features without moving hosting.
Deployment & Requirements
- Deploy from GitHub, the CLI, Manufact's own MCP server, a template, or an existing remote MCP server connected by URL.
- TypeScript and Python are first-class through the mcp-use SDKs, with presets for FastMCP and other frameworks, plus a Dockerfile option for anything else.
- OAuth ships with Auth0, Better Auth, Clerk, Keycloak, Supabase, and WorkOS, plus custom providers that support dynamic client registration; clients connect with OAuth 2.1 with PKCE or bearer tokens.
